| 2008-10-07 |  | | | Background: the gap between domestic production and domestic demand is growing increasingly large in Germany. From 2000 to 2006 the turnover for organic products rose by 124%, but production by only 51%.
Rüdiger Dress, coordinator for organic products at Norma, expressed that the meeting with the Danish organic foods producers this week in the Danish embassy in Berlin was very interesting, and that the status as country of the year at BioFach in February 2009 naturally offers an ideal platform for maintaining contacts with the relevant buyers.
"The organic products from Denmark are a guarantee for innovation, taste and quality. In close cooperation with customers, we develop customised assortments and solutions. It is particularly this flexibility and openness that German customers very much appreciate", says Klaus Bentzen, export director at Organic Denmark
At the largest Danish organic foods event there was a number of delicious taste samples – from ice cream to fish!
The initiators of the campaign are Organic Denmark and the Danish embassy in Berlin.
