It is the smart combination of a lid on top of, e.g. yoghurt where you have yoghurt, a spoon and muesli in a complete package. The Top Cups concept opens many opportunities in the dairy and dessert industry as the lid can accommodate dry and liquid products. Together with the main product and a spoon, the product is transformed into an easily available meal. Top Cups can bring new life into existing products or provide access to new markets.
On the retail side, Crispy Food’s strategy has primarily focused on development within the private label area following the same basic idea as when products are developed within the Top Cup concept. That is great flexibility and customised products. The range at Biofach will, as standard, comprise:
• Fruit Muesli • Basic Muesli • Cocoa Muesli
At Crispy Food, food safety is always a high priority so consumers can trust the muesli they eat for breakfast. Two thirds of the production is now being exported to a number of countries in and outside of the EU. Ecology comprises three to four percent of the turnover, but the objective is to increase that share.
